1. What is the StarElite Pre-Owned Program?
StarElite Pre-Owned Program is a unique program created to serve customers with certified and high quality pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It includes warranty and roadside assistance. Every vehicle is at most 4 years of age with a maximum mileage of 100,000 km. All vehicles have gone through a comprehensive examination consisting of 158 points and will be certified by trained Mercedes-Benz technicians. In addition, you can trade-in your previous vehicle of other brands for a new Mercedes-Benz.

2. What is the StarElite Pre-Owned Vehicle?
The StarElite Pre-Owned Vehicle is a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicle with at most 4 years of age and a maximum of 100,000 km. It has a 12 months or up to 20,000 km warranty, as well as a 24 hour Roadside Assistance that lasts for 12 months. Every Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicle is either imported by Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd. or by Daimler’s appointed partners, or locally manufactured by Beijing Benz Automotive Co.,. Every car comes without identifiable structural damage.

3. What services shall I receive, if I purchase a StarElite Pre-Owned Vehicle?
You will get a reconditioned (repaired & refurbished) pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicle, which is at most 4 years of age and has a maximum mileage of 100,000 km and has been certified through the 158 points inspection & certification process. Additionally, you will get a 12 months StarElite warranty with a maximum 20,000 km mileage (whichever comes first) and a 12 months Roadside Assistance. 4. What is the StarElite Warranty?
Mercedes-Benz provides a highly comprehensive, tailor-made Mercedes-Benz StarElite Warranty for StarElite Pre-Owned vehicles. Each vehicle is enrolled into the warranty for 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.

5. What is included in the StarElite Gold Cover Warranty?
The StarElite Gold Cover Warranty covers repairs to critical parts including the engine, transmission, axle, suspension, steering system, brake system, fuel injection system and electrical system. Please contact your Authorized StarElite Pre-Owned Program Dealer for details.

6. What is the StarElite Platinum Cover Warranty?
The StarElite Platinum Cover Warranty is an optional upgrade from the StarElite Gold Cover that you may choose for your StarElite Pre-Owned Vehicle at the time of purchase.

7. What are the additional benefits of the StarElite Platinum Cover Warranty?
In addition to the StarElite Gold Cover Warranty, the StarElite Platinum Cover Warranty includes coverage of the audio system, emissions system and airbags. Please contact your Authorized StarElite Pre-Owned Program Dealer for more details.

8. When does the StarElite Gold or Platinum Cover Warranty commence?
The StarElite Warranty begins on the vehicle invoice date and will expire after 12 months or 20,000 km (whichever comes first).

9. Does the StarElite Warranty cover regular periodic service of StarElite Pre-Owned Vehicles?
Regular periodic service and the periodic replacement of any items during normal vehicle maintenance are not covered during the warranty period.

10. Is the warranty still valid if I have bought my StarElite Pre-Owned Vehicle from a previous owner within the first year or 20,000 km from the date of sale (whichever comes first)?
Yes. However, the details of the ownership transfer should be provided to your Mercedes-Benz StarElite Pre-Owned Program Dealer within 30 days of the sale.

11. What is the Roadside Assistance for StarElite Pre-Owned Vehicles?
Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance is designed to enhance your overall Mercedes-Benz ownership experience, by providing you with emergency support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year throughout mainland China.

12. What do I do if my car breaks down?
Call the Roadside Assistance number (400-650-4688) at any time during the day or night to receive immediate assistance. If the Roadside Assistance team determines that your vehicle needs service center repair, your vehicle may be towed or driven to the nearest authorized service center. The service center will confirm whether the necessary repairs are covered under your warranty.

14. What does trade-in mean?
Trade-in means that you can hand in your pre-owned car irrespective of its brand in order to get a new Mercedes-Benz or StarElite Pre-Owned vehicle. You just need to pay the price difference between your traded-in vehicle and the vehicle that you are going to buy. Take your current vehicle to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer for the appraisal, and the dealer will help you with the whole trade-in process.

19. What are the 158 checkpoints in the StarElite Inspection & Certification process?
StarElite Pre-Owned vehicles undergo an extensive inspection consisting of 158 checkpoints. Besides a general check, our technicians perform the electrical systems & function test, the engine component/ system-condition check & verification, the undercarriage/ drive train, the brake test on roller tester, the road test and the post-road test inspection. Furthermore they verify the chassis/ body, the engine, the trunk, the interior and the wheels.

20. Is it possible to claim warranty at every Authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealer?
We recommend you to go back to the Star Elite Pre-Owned Program dealer in order to get a prompt repair for free as long as your StarElite warranty is still valid and the damage is covered by the warranty. However, if your StarElite Pre-Owned vehicle was sent to a non StarElite dealer, the repairs will still be carried out, but the process might take longer.
